Naples Rides, a 501c-3 that is associated with the Jewish Federation of Greater Naples. It has one goal: to provide members of the Greater Naples Jewish Community who cannot or should not drive, with safe, reliable, cost effective transportation to allow them to fully participate in community activities and tend to everyday ‘life needs.’
Naples Rides will provide rides to events that take place at:
The Steve Saks Campus, which is home to the Jewish Federation of Greater Naples and Temple Sholom
Beth Tikvah, Naples Chabad and the Naples Jewish Congregation.
The Holocaust Museum and the Baker Senior Center
In the futures, rides will be available for medical appointments, trips to the grocery store, and other life needs (hair and nail salons, etc.).
Rides are provided by members of our community who volunteer their time, their cars and who pass a comprehensive background check, including a review of their driving records.
Rides fees depend on the distance from the rider's home to the destination (or back). There will be no charge for rides to events sponsored by the JFGN, Temple Shalom and other Jewish institutions. For other rides, fees range from $5.00 each way for rides of 10 miles or less to $15 for rides longer than 20 miles.
Initially, rides will be available to community members who live between Davis Boulevard and Bonita Beach Road and from the Gulf to Greyhawk, Valencia Trails and Bonita National. Eventually, the service area will expand.
