Frequently Asked Questions

• Why is there a fee to join Naples Rides?
  Naples Rides does incur expenses to operate. The membership fee helps to offset those costs. 

• Who drives for Naples Rides?
  Drivers are volunteers who are members of the greater Naples Jewish community. Before  they are allowed to drive, volunteers go through a comprehensive background check, which include their driving records. 

• Is there a charge for rides? 
  Rides to events that vents at or sponsored by the Jewish Federation, Temple Shalom and other Naples Jewish institutions (including the Holocaust Center and the Baker Senior Center) are free. There is a charge for rides to grocery stores, medical appointments or other 'life needs' destinations. The charges range from $5.00 to $15.00 dollars each way, depending on the distance. 

• Do I have to schedule a ride 'on-line?'
  Online scheduling is the preferred method, but you will be able to make a reservation by making a phone call. 

• Is Naples Rides part of the Jewish Federation
  Naples Rides is separate 501c-3  non-profit corporation that works in collaboration with the Federation.
